Couldn’t wait

I couldn’t wait to post these.  We are preparing for my son’s 15th birthday and I saw the email from Doris.  I was so tickled at the detail shot.  Do you recognize the label?  It’s the paper label how stinking cute!  She also makes me want to run out and snag a butterfly punch!

I love being inspired. 

Often it’s the little things that inspire me more than any large technique. 

Don’t get me wrong, I love learning new techniques but sometimes something as simple as using a ribbon clip to hold on a piece of paper makes me want to scrap just so I can do it.  The fact it makes a flap to hid other photos or additional journaling makes me run for my scraproom to do it. 

 

Banners are hot.  For banners off the page it’s a great (easy) way to add some fun to a party or holiday, but for banners on the page they are just stinking cute. 

 

And thanks to Doris I am going to have to unpack my sewing machine too!

I mean really...

Can she be more talented? yet again Doris just amazes me... aside from having an advantage that she has such a cute kiddo.. her layouts are meticulously gorgeous. She has details upon details, I love that it compels me to scour every inch just to see what she's done. On this layout I got caught up in the banner it took me a moment to see the grid she created with her stitching. She makes it look effortless to add all these details and have it come together as such a beautiful whole.

In cases as these, it's best to CASE. (Copy And Steal Everything)
