Layout Sharing December!!!

Hey Scrap This kit ~ Gina de Jong here! Did everyone have a nice Thanksgiving??? Ready for the holidays?? I am not quite there yet - My youngest has a birthday this week and then my Hubby's birthday is next week and well.........then it is time to switch to the family christmas mode, well after I do the Sunday school program and go to a bridalshower!! This is the happiest time of year though..right?? =)

I just had to pop in and show you a few Layouts I have been working on for December! Now let me say that I have scrapped Christmas photos once in the last 5 years!!!!! I don't know what it is about it - but that all changed when I got my December kit - Woah....love all the Crate Paper - WOWOW!!!!!!!! so fun!!!! again, love me some patterns to play with!!!! thanks for looking and I'll be back again!

I have had this photo (of my 2 oldest boys) for a few years, one of those you love, not sure how to scrap it - I love those kind!!! the bright merry colors were perfect and I love the big playful diecuts!! I also used a journal card from the November kit(did ya get one of those?) - love me some leftovers =) And seriously - I love random buttons - they are fun and will never go out of style!!!

My Husbands family is huge and we realized long ago it is actually so much more fun to all get together(all 49 of us) in the Summer - we do all our gift giving then too - What is better than celebrating with Family on the beach!!! Again, I love all the fun chipboard diecuts, lots of fun sayings to work with, love the letters and yay for shapely borders!!!! my favorite part..can you even see it - I cut out the NO and added the snow - No snow hohoho!!!!!!!!

And some more December kit projects

I can't stop making things with this kit. Here are another two projects that I made and I still have tons of paper left over to make more! I just need to get some more holiday photos!

First up - the Christmas Zoo Lights. I printed out my photos using a digital cluster frame by Katie Pertiet. I love using those pre-made stickers for titles - I combined a few here. The main sticker actually said Christmas morning, but I covered over the morning with other stickers. I picked up the yellow in the title with my journaling strips. I really like the yellow in this line -- it's such an unusual color for Christmas but it works so well! And that stripe. I'm hoarding it!

I picked up this frame super cheap at my local Marshalls. I like to dig through the clearance section to see what kind of frames they have. This frame with three photo openings makes quick work of this project. I just filled in the openings with paper, stickers and photos and now I have a personalized piece of holiday decor. It would make a fun gift for the grandparents too!

I hope these projects give you some ideas on how to use this wonderful kit!

Box Tutorial

Here is the box tutorial.

If you have any questions please let me know.
In the pdf I show a box that I tore the edges off after I adhered the tabs together. Try experimenting with different things, for instance use a decorative punch or a die cut paper.

Hope you share your boxes, I'd love to see them!

A couple of December kit projects

I was thrilled when Tami asked me to guest design for December - this Crate Paper North Pole line is adorable! Here are a couple of layouts that I did.

This first layout is about my tradition/obsession with advent calendars. I have a little problem, I can't stop buying or making them! I love the coordinating stickers in the kit - I used one for my title here - nice and easy! I popped it up using mounting tape so I could have a little dimension.

Next up, I was inspired by the Websters Pages Dear Santa paper to document my kids Christmas lists for this year. I scanned the letter so they could still be mailed to Santa ;) I love the colors of the papers and also these Bo Bunny stickers (the alphas and the border stickers)

How cute is the chipboard tree though? I just *had* to use that!

I hope you enjoyed these layouts. I'll be back in a few days with a few more!

Documenting December

I have 1 kit that was used for the pdf left. If anyone is interested it is for the same cost as the kit sold $44. Free shipping (even if you add things from the store I'll ship for free).

The kit has everything pictured in the pdf already assembled with a American Crafts red 6x12 3 ring album AND you get all the extras you would get if you bought the kit including the alphas, flair, photo turns, brads, etc. If you are interested please email me at tami@scrapthiskit.com

You can view the pdf here, it is a bit big due to the number of images.
